Free to play FPS MMO. That’s the best way to describe Guns and Robots, the new game from Masthead Studios. So far, so standard, but the main draw to the game is that you are playing as a Robot that you have created. This is where the game gets interesting as the shooting side of things is a fairly standard affair. Just think of any PC FPS game and you’ll get an idea of what the game is about.

The customization though, that’s where the heart of the game is. You get to select what parts are attached to the robot and you end up with a huge mismatch of a robot that could be the worlds greatest killing machine. You get to chose the challis, the body, the head and the weapons. This is all fairly standard to course, until you realize you can have up to 4 weapons attached simultaneously. This is where the fun begins. You can make the robot as fun and personalized as you want and still have it be an ultimate killing machine with lasers and rockets. If this sounds like your wet dream than this game is definitely going to be for you.

The artwork of the game is suits the game extremely well, as it is all a bit quirky, and the level I played seemed to be drawn straight out of a Wide Western film, except for the fact that it has Robots in. Even on the lowest graphical settings the game still looks stunning…
